Rockett Ride: Diwa ng Pinoy

One of the early commemorative tributes that I've produced for AA-925. From February 22 - 25, niro-rotate namin ang bawat track before the midhour break. And we've been doing it since 1999.

The snippets on edsa_01, 02 and 04 were taken from the Sandaan 100 (our Independence Day tribute also used snippets from the same material) commemorative cassette while the FVR spiel was from Charlie Frias. Mang Charlie (I call him Tzah-lee) was a technician of RJAM. He was one of the guys holed up at the Sta. Mesa station noong kainitan ng unang People Power. Importante ang role ni Mang Charlie kung paano naging Radyo Bandido ang RJAM. Despite the tension, nakuha pa niyang i-record sa open reel yung mga nangyari that time. Katiting lang yung spiel na nasa edsa_03 track (naarbor ko ito sa kanya).

Charlie and I met in 94 when I got the opportunity to work for RJFM. Siya yung nagturo sa akin ng rudiments of producing promos, ads, etc.

Pasensiya na kung medyo hindi na crisp yung audio; wala pa akong pc then. Ito pa yung original mix niya. Next year, ire-remaster ko na lahat. I've decided to share it para naman may ma-impart sa mga bagong sibol na hindi inabutan yung kaunaunahang himagsikan ng modern Philippines.
